An incentive program is a formal scheme used to promote or encourage specific actions or behavior by a specific group of people during a defined period of time. Incentive programs are particularly used in business management to motivate employees and in sales to attract and retain customers. Scientific literature also refers to this concept as pay for performance.

Inbound Expert (Current Employee) says

"Absolutely the worst company you could work for. I didn’t get lid maternity leave, they couldn’t ever work with my school schedule. HR, team leads, as well as LOD do not care about anybody else but themselves. Cons: Everything"

Fullfillment Associate (Former Employee) says

"They dangle promotions that never exist and they over work their employees ( because they are constantly understaffed). They are also not nice to employers who are different and the management is overall mediocre at best. Cons: Everything"

Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) says

"To many lazy people starting with managers, Some doing 150 % in rate others 40 % every day place unsafe nothing works. Breaks every 3 hours .to many people getting high and drunk at work . Cons: Dirtiest place i seen ."

Operations Manager (Former Employee) says

"Culture in the building was cult-like. If you were willing to put in 50 hours in the building during the work week you still need to average 10-15 hours of off time, to stay ahead on administrative paperwork. Cons: Clique culture"

Beauty Concierge (Current Employee) says

"Hours differ every week if you have bills it's hard to get 40 hours every week, impossible expectations with no time to do the tasks. Management doesnt lift a finger to employee needs, multiple people have walked out recently because of management"

General Merchandiser, Stocker (Former Employee) says

"Managers were horrible, boss was even worse. Not sure if it was my location but that job felt like a sink hole. Only part that was enjoyable was some of the coworkers. When the boss didn’t like you for no reason at all they would treat you like trash. Managers would give you wrong advice and actually had no clue what they were doing. Would make us do their work that the boss would assign to them on top of the projects that you had to do. Hours are horrible the favorites were the morning crew stockers they got the best hours and were always treated amazing while other employees were treated as step children and as if we didn’t matter. Managers gossip like crazy and were very unprofessional they always had slick remarks and would make fun of employees. Lied about cleaning store during this pandemic. A manager that knew he was positive came to work and put us all at risk and didn’t care or got sent home. The carts weren’t cleaned they cared more about red cards and getting people to put their number to get 1 percent off on their shopping Cons: Everything"

General Merchandiser (Current Employee) says

"Florence Target location is not good at communication or understanding work related issues, they have secret agendas and shows favoritism. They have no respect or care for those infected by this covid outbreak."

Associate (Former Employee) says

"Favoritism and there's never a real sense of being wanted or needed by the business except for when you have multiple jobs you have to do on top of yours and most of them aren't even in your department. You may be told you are full time but you will end up working less than the part times or more than you can handle and you can't change your hours for up to 3 weeks. If something comes up and you work, you're stuck working because everyone is already stuck working or planned something else. You will get fired for the smallest thing or won't tell you if you are actually temporary until you are working when they tell you you're fired after a # of days. You never know what you are walking into. I walked into work and was fired after being there for 30 minutes when they spent all day getting someone to take my shift because they knew before I even came to work that they weren't keeping me the rest of my shift."

Associate (Former Employee) says

"Any manager WILL show favoritism and if you are not the favorite you will get nowhere within the company, they say to ask for help but will get annoyed if you do and outright tell you they are too busy. Cons: Awful leadership, lack of communication, favouritism, and termination on small issues."

Team Leader (Former Employee) says

"Expectations exceed Human possibility Cons: Poor Management"

Cashier (Former Employee) says

"My manager was always pulling us aside and complaining that we had not had enough people sign up for credit cards and threatening that if we didn’t have more there would be consequences. I had no control over whether or not people wanted the credit card. I thought I was hired on as a cashier, not a credit card sales representative."

Technical Sales Consultant (Former Employee) says

"Though Target offer a nice $15/hour rate, you will struggle to work more than 25 hours a week outside of the holiday season. Even during the holidays, your hours will NOT be consistent, and you will be expected to be available 24/7 if you want hours. Hard work and professionalism will not get you more hours. Cons: Manipulative/ineffective management, lack of team coordination, lack of knowledge regarding anti-theft practices"

Logistics (Current Employee) says

"This company dosen't pay hourly employees for holidays."

Employed Training Beauty Consultant (Current Employee) says

"They do not care about their employees at all. The hours are sparse. Management is a revolving door. Management untrained. Very high turnover rate on sales floor as well."

Team Leader (Former Employee) says

"Target started being a nice place to work but soon as you get well in there working like a year or two and hen things change. No Executive Team Lead or store manager assist you with help. They will let you fail so they can look Great in the eyes of there Superiors. They lie on you and laugh at you when you get talked to by another leader. Anyone looking to work at Target,go in as a regular associate and you will be just fine. They only go after you if your a Team Leader. Cons: Disappointment"

General Merchandise Associate (Current Employee) says

"Managers are no help, only want the work to get done, treat employees like dogs. Expect to work. No slacking off. People come into work expecting to be able to not get work done. They will make you stay extra to finish anything you don’t finish Cons: Short breaks, long hours"

ETL GM and Food (Current Employee) says

"Doesn’t take care of you, mgmt only focus is on sales. You can’t take your time off without being called and told to come back early because something isn’t right."

Seasonal Sales Associate (Current Employee) says

"Target corp had policy in place that allows emotionally driven power abusers to have control and influence over regular people who need to work to live. Cons: Poor discount with lots of conditions, evil management."

Barista (Former Employee) says

"I was a Barista for the Starbucks in Target and unless you are okay with being alone all the time and expected to do things way over your paygrade, don't take this job. HR doesn't care about you or your work, they work for corporate. If you are lucky, you'll have a lead that is devoted to Starbucks but 9 times out of 10, they have another department to run also. This job is stressful and you will take work home with you as they don't schedule right most of the time. I would just stay away. Working on the floor is basically the same. If you aren't kissing up, you aren't moving up. Cons: Benifits, management, environment"

Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) says

"I didn’t enjoy it, just my personal experience, the pay was good but I didn’t care for the coworkers & managers they didn’t push you enough as they should’ve"
